Jo Van Aert is a brewer with one eye on the past and the other on the future. He drew inspiration from Belgium’s proud brewing history, creating a range of six traditional ales using classic Belgian grains. His beers are all bottle fermented, unfiltered and made with no chemical additives, so if you get a sore head after drinking Belgoo, it’s your own fault, and nothing to do with Jo’s brewing! His microbrewery can be found in Binche but it won’t be micro for long. He’s an ambitious chap, looking to export more of his wares, which is how we’ve been lucky enough to snaffle a few cases for you. Crisp, refreshing and aromatic, it’s more subtle and refined than a new wave IPA – fine on its own or partnered with a dressed green salad or chicken.
