Chat with Vinny
A style of rosé you don’t see every day, Beaumonde shares the pale salmon hue, crisp red fruit and food matching drinkability of fine Provence pink. But, unlike pricy bottles of Château Miraval and co, this one comes with mouthfuls of tiny bubbles.
Tasting notes
Wonderfully refreshing with fine bubbles, citrus and strawberry
Aroma
Mouthwatering aromas of fresh redcurrant and a hint of garrigue
More information
If you’re a fan of seriously good rosé, you’ll know that the finest examples can be found on the coast of southern France. Provençal winemakers have set the bar high, but Laurent Sauvage and the team at Fortant have upped the ante with this delightful fizz. Beaumonde is pure Grenache, raised on coastal limestone vineyards surrounding the charming fishing village of Sète. Lying just down the coast from the hills of Provence, the region’s terroir and climate is very similar to that of its more illustrious neighbour. And more liberal wine laws mean Laurent’s team are permitted to add a little sparkle to their blush. Clean, crisp and refreshing, Beaumonde is an excellent apéritif and makes a fine partner to shellfish, creamy cheeses or salads.
