Critic Jeb Dunnock awarded this awesome Côte Rôtie 94-96 points, calling it "ripe, fleshy, undeniably sexy". It's from a Chapoutier run estate, with input from star winemaker Stéphane Ogier, which explains why its wines "represent screaming values".

Founded in 1946, Domaine Ferraton has always been a highly regarded estate. Yet since the Chapoutiers have come on board quality has rocketed. The Ferraton family started working with Michel Chapoutier in 1998, the latter buying the estate outright in 2004, but running it very much as an independent concern, with the family still at the helm. Oenologist Damien Brisset and the renowned Stéphane Ogier are also part of the domaine’s ‘super team’, and the result is some really impressive wines. Add in the 5-Star quality of the 2018 vintage and grapes produced to the highest biodynamic standards, and you’ll understand the sumptuous richness you can look forward to. It's tasting gorgeous 'straight out of the gate' but will certainly age well too.
