Stroll along the wild hilltops of Cadaval, north of Lisbon. Admire the local fauna and flora and also the well-groomed vineyards which use to make wines fit for royalty. Today those wines still impress, like this tropical-flushed, citrusy Sauvignon.

Welcome to heavenly Sauvignon Blanc territory. Not where you might expect, but in Cadaval, just north of Lisbon, and right at the antipode (opposite point of the globe) from some of our very famous Sauvignon-making friends. Here the same kind of sun-drenched shores and cooling ocean breezes make a wine that’s big on lavish tropical fruit and citrus. Crafted by the award-winning Portuguese cellar, Quinta do Gradil, this sappy Sauvignon was born from vineyards seeped in winemaking history. Not only was this area renowned as a hunting ground for kings and queens, it made wines fit for their enjoyment. Enjoy this fresh, fruit-filled Portuguese white well chilled as an aperitif, or with seafood, spiced noodles or chicken kebabs with pilaf.

"A super refreshing Sauvignon with a delicious splash of tropical fruits - give me a cool glass now!" Jehan Sacaze
