Three star grapes native to Spain’s exciting, trendy Ribeiro meet in this fresh yet exotic white from a small family estate. Treixadura, Godello and Loureiro – outsiders now, but set to be as star struck as Albariño and Sauvignon. A thrilling white.

North West Spain is setting the world alight with its dazzlingly fresh whites, continuing a tradition of fine wine making that dates back to Christopher Columbus! This terrific 2016 is from a small family estate in Ribeiro, established in 1998 and with many top awards. These include six Golds for this particular white in just three vintages. With 20 hectares of vines, they grow only native varieties. The shallow granite soils lend purity, while the cooling effects of Atlantic breezes and the nearby mountains bring out the aroma and zip in the grapes. This gloriously fresh white blends Treixadura and Loureiro, with their kick of stony lemon, while the Godello is like a synthesis of Sauvignon crispness and Viognier’s exotic richness.

"This bold, tangy, floral stone fruit-stashed Spanish white has lots of apricot in the mix" Jane MacQuitty
