More information
We all know Pinot Grigio makes tongue tingling fresh whites, many from northern Italy. But with its pink tinged skins, this variety also makes an extremely appetising rosé. Albastrele captures all the citrus and stony crispness you’d expect of this grape, but with a little bit extra on ripe fruit. Winemaker Vladimir Lazariuc is a master of the style, while a cold biting wind in the naturally organic vineyards ensures a lovely aromatic freshness, as well as healthy grapes. Moldova produced top quality wines that graced the courts of Russian Tsars for centuries. Today, with extra investment from abroad, Moldovan winemakers are well equipped to make them again. Chill down and serve this crisp pink with all sorts of seafood or creamy risotto.
