Rated third among all the wineries of Chile and Argentina by The Wine Report, Familia Zuccardi can be hugely proud of their great estate. Second generation José has won a lifetime achievement award and Decanter has hailed his son Sebastián as Argentina’s top young winemaker. It all began in the 1950s when engineer Alberto Zuccardi invented an irrigation system and then planted a vineyard to demonstrate it – and a winery was born! They are very much family first, proud that they still employ the same local families who joined the company at the start. Using grapes from a special single vineyard, this oak aged red has luscious, ripe cherry and plum character, with silky tannins. A top choice with that Argentine speciality, char-grilled steak.

"Sebastián Zuccardi sees a broader canvas in his quest to produce Andean wines with a sense of place" Tim Atkin MW
