This deliciously dry and berry-fresh Provence pink truly is 'exquiste' (hence the name). Our Buyer Jean Marc Sauboua discovered it at a small cellar in Aix, just 30 km from the Mediterranean – an appellation where he knows he can get superb quality at a good price. Its vineyards are blessed by the cooling Mistral wind, which slows the ripening and ups the aroma, intensity and freshness (downside being the wind drives you a bit mad!). The wine is a classic (for Provence) blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Vermentino (known here as Rolle), cool fermented and bottled fresh for you to enjoy the charming fruit. Chill down and serve on a sunny terrace as an aperitif, with crab or spring vegetable risotto, char-grilled chicken or creamy choux pastry.
