Congratulations to champion winemaker Noël Bougrier for this supreme Sauvignon! Rivalling Sancerre for its fine, mineral purity, it is one wine you won’t want to miss. Characterful Loire whites are Noël’s speciality at his family run, fifth generation cellar. We’ve been working with him for many years and that loyalty does not go unrewarded. Abbesse Royale is one of his ‘special editions’ made exclusively for us from some of the most sought after vineyards in the Touraine region. As the Trophy suggests, it’s a real step up in quality from the original Abbesse. Sauvignon fans everywhere will be delighted with the Royale’s elegance, poise and tang of minerality. A great treat with grilled white fish, shellfish or grilled goat’s cheese salad.
