Vincent & Arthur Vermentino 2019

Pays d'Oc IGP

Vermentino is the prized white grape of Provence and Sardinia, also grown a little in the Languedoc. Vincent Gourdon and his son Arthur have nurtured a little parcel of it and made a deliciously intense, lemony fresh white with a hint of nuttiness.

Vincent Gourdon is one of the most experienced and best informed winemakers of southern France. He always knows where the best grapes are growing and who is growing them. Formidable knowledge. Indeed, he's also trained some of our best loved winemakers – those behind our Cabalié wines for starters – and was one of the first winemakers of our legendary Le XV du Président. With his lifetime of local winemaking know-how, no wonder his nickname his Obi Wine Kenobi! Today Vincent is working alongside his most eager apprentice - his son Arthur. This is a pure, fresh, unoaked Vermentino. Cool fermented, it's crisp and lemony with a creamy nutty edge, very typical of this tasty grape. Chill and enjoy solo or with chicken, seafood or creamy pasta.

"A very appealing new white from Vincent & Arthur – deliciously fresh and lemony with lovely weight" Mark Hoddy
