Founded in 1849 Pol Roger is generally regarded as one of the finest Champagne houses. It is known for the great style and finesse of its wines, particularly for its Cuvée Winston Churchill. Churchill was a great ambassador for the brand, being one of their most loyal customers, and even named a winning racehorse after Odette Pol-Roger, the wife of Jacques Pol-Roger, head of the firm at that time! This small, but top vintage Brut is made from all Grand Cru Chardonnay from parcels throughout the Côte des Blancs: Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Oger. It has been aged for seven years in bottle, on its lees, before release. No wonder it has so much depth and complexity. Creamy with ripe fruit, toasted hazelnut, superb length and complexity.

"Full body. Totally integrated fruit and acidity and a long and flavorful finish. Love the brightness" James Suckling
