A must try for serious fans of Rioja’s whites, this is an truly modern style of wine. It’s from a small family estate founded 200 years ago with its first winery built in 1890. The wine is crafted entirely from racy fresh Viura and creamy peach Chardonnay from a hilltop vineyard. Brothers Victor and David Manzanos are the great-grandsons of founder Lorenzo Fernández de Manzanos Medrano. Their winemaker Borja Ripa has extensive experience throughout Spain and as far afield as Australia. Enjoy here ripe stone and citrus fruit with subtle creamy toast flavours thanks to barrel fermentation in new oak, plus six months ageing in cask. Victor and David suggest you partner it with chicken casserole, grilled salmon, spicy seafood and summer salads.
