It’s a long story, so I’ve no space to tell it all here, but amazingly, I got invited to plant a small vineyard in Windsor Great Park. This now produces bottles so absolutely out-of-this-world delicious that I wrote a letter proclaiming loudly; “Be proud. Britain has reached the heady heights previously reserved for top tier Champagne ... This is a wine now served to visiting Heads of State.” It’s been written up glowingly in the press worldwide and has won awards, too.
It’s a very limited-production fizz made from this unique site. Last year, a thousand of my best customers signed up to be a ‘Vineyard Partner’ to this great English fizz and we have just enough of this award-winning wine to be able to share it with a few more of you. Sign up for an annual six-bottle case and, in return for your loyalty, you will be offered it every year at over £50 less than the normal selling price. To you it will be £227.94 £174 for six bottles, or just £37.99 £29 a bottle. It’s entirely up to you whether you take the case each year, but it tastes so fine and has such a story to tell (see the booklet when you join), it’s hard to resist. To ensure you gain maximum enjoyment from this great wine, with this first case, you’ll receive two of my supremely elegant, signature-range flutes. They’re worth £20 … look after them!

It takes a full four-plus years to make this superb fizz – from the picking of the grapes, to vinification, blending, secondary fermentation, lees ageing in bottle and further ageing after disgorgement … just like they do in Champagne. And from the same grape varieties – Chardonnay with portions of both Pinot Noir and Meunier. But this exclusive fizz is certainly worth it. Wine writer Oz Clarke called it “Quintessential English fizz of the very highest order”.
Perhaps that should be of no surprise when we got some of the best names in the business to help us – from the planting of the vineyard to making the wine … Stephen Skelton MW, father of English vineyards, the Roberts family, IWSC English Wine Producer and Winemaker of the Year 2018, and the late Dr Tony Jordan OA, formerly of Moët et Chandon. Now, Henry Laithwaite at Harrow & Hope, Winery of the Year 2019 from Wine GB, also advises.
As a supporter – a Vineyard Partner – of this unique English fizz, you’ll also be invited to special events to celebrate it, plus you’ll receive regular updates on the vineyard through the year. I do hope you’ll join me in enjoying this unique English sparkling wine.
