So many great wines, spirits and more this month, so little time. Well, not strictly true, but I realise that it can be a bit overwhelming as the festive season approaches.
So, to lend a helping hand, I've been through and selected my personal favourite picks. I know that not everyone will need these pointers, but I can guarantee that if you do choose them they will not disappoint.

Going for Gold
Sancerre and Châteauneuf-du-Pape are two of my favourite fine wines and the quality of this pair will knock your socks off. Both Gold medal winners, both ideal for the festive table.
Sideboard Six
A half-dozen indulgent extras I like to have in the cabinet during the holiday season – whisky, gin, Cognac, port, white sherry and a sweet fortified wine.
5-Star Kiwi Sauvignon
I always have a few bottles of chilled Kiwi Sauvignon in the fridge. All those zippy, refreshing flavours, it just makes sense ... especially at Christmas. Sunday Bay? Simply the best of its kind.
Double-Gold Champagne
Loved this last year, so just had to secure more. Family domaine Champagne, with two Gold medals at half price ? It's the best fizz deal anywhere this Christmas.
