Of course, they then had to find the best grapes and best producers to help bring their plans to fruition! Enter Fabien Henry - another good friend, this time of Thierry's - who, with his inside knowledge of the region, helped introduce Thierry and our buyer to the wonderfully talented house of Gaston Burtin, based in the premium Côte des Blancs area of Champagne.

The wonderful result of this collaboration is L & L Gaston Burtin (Lesne & Laithwaites) - a stunning Blanc de Blancs Champagne made only from premium Chardonnay grapes. Brimming with fresh, white peach, classic rich tea biscuit flavours with a touch of creamy apricot, this fine Champagne is a testament to the skill and dedication of Thierry and the Gaston Burtin winemakers.
