Bordeaux Supérieur really is, as the name suggests, a superior wine, coming from estates with a proven track record and having an extra degree of weight and intensity. Château Pierredon is a consistently exemplary claret but in 2005, a year hailed as the best for several decades, the results are superb.

Mid brick red with attractive, ripe berry aromas. Smooth and flavoursome with Merlot plumminess and a hint of liquorice. Serve at room temperature with roast red meats or gourmet sausages.
