Farnese Montepulciano 2006Greatly impressive, Silver medal red from Italy's three times 'Winery of the Year'.
Velvety smooth Italian red with a glittering medal-winning pedigree. In addition, it has long been highly acclaimed by the world's top wine writers - and loved by the best judges of all ... you!
Hugh Johnson called our fabulous Farnese - "the hearty, ripe, really warming wine that Chianti so often fails to be" while US supremo Robert Parker hailed it "one to buy by the car-load"! Publications such as Decanter, Wine Spectator and Italy's Gambero Rosso have all praised it to the heavens in recent times.
There is simply no better example of the luscious Montepulciano grape in all of the Abruzzi. Vibrant purple with satin-textured bramble and black cherry flavours. Delicious with Sunday roasts and meaty pasta - not forgetting barbecues, but smooth enough to finish on its own. Many of us here can vouch for that!
