This 2000 vintage claret - "one of the greatest vintages Bordeaux has ever produced" (Robert Parker) - is made from 100% Merlot by Philippe Carille, our good neighbour at Château Poupille.

We then take the deliciously velvety, smooth wine and age it in expensive oak barriques our very own cellars to add depth and structure.

Full of ripe plum and black berry fruit, with a delicious chocolatly roundness and a hint of toasty oak. Wonderful with traditional roasts.
