Mark Hoddy is famed for producing full-throttle reds at his top Roussillon estate. His fans include Jancis Robinson MW and his neighbour Michel Chapoutier, maker of the world's most famous Syrah … so it's a real coup to have him on board at the Chai!

Having also worked wonders with Syrah (Shiraz) in Australia's McLaren Vale, Mark knows just how to maximise the grape's natural power. Puy de Val is everything Mark is about - inky black Syrah (so rich in flavour) from ancient, high-grown Roussillon vines.
