Serving suggestions
This lightly oaked Chardonnay makes a great apéritif. It is also great alongside seared scallops, grilled salmon, crab pasta or tomato, mozzarella and basil salad. Drink by end 2009.

Description
This single estate white comes from a domaine situated just outside the village of Arnissan, on the Rives de l'Etang in the Languedoc Cru, La Clape.

Blessed with one of France's highest average annual hours of sunshine, this unfortunately named hill was once an island off the busy Roman port of Narbo (now Narbonne). Now joined to the mainland, it is one of the most prized spots of the Midi, thanks to excellent soils and cooling coastal breezes.

The property is owned by Monsieur Claude Calix who, at the age of 55, decided to establish his own domaine and sold his house to fund it.
