Description
Vibrant, citrus-charged Sauvignon - an exclusive find for us made by super-talented winemaker Adolfo Hurtado at the award-winning Cono Sur winery, known for pushing the boundaries of Chilean winemaking with special projects like this.
Young Adolfo has astounded the international wine circuit by scooping more awards than any other winemaker in Chile's history. He identified some special parcels of vineyard in the warm, lush Colchagua valley next to a river called the Rio Verde. The fruit here ripens easily but retains its elegance and balance thanks to the cooling breezes brought by the river.
Bright, pale lemon colour. Vibrant aromas of ripe pear and citrus ... following through on the palate with refreshing grapefruit and a delicious crispness. And 2007 is proving a terrific year for aromatic whites of this quality.
