Monte León Sauvignon Blanc 2007Exciting Sauvignon Blanc to rival the Loire and New Zealand with a uniquely Chilean style
Wonderfully expressive Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with New World ripeness of fruit and old world elegance and restraint. A rare combination that makes this 'a must' to discover!
Monte Léon comes from the leading family-owned estate Santa Emiliana and was crafted by highly respected winemaker Cesar 'the bear' Morales. The estate was one of the first in Chile to produce biodynamic wines.
Aromatically vibrant and fresh with scents of gooseberries, grapefruit and asparagus. Mouthfilling and zesty with ripe, green fruit flavours lifted by racy acidity. Lovely concentration and balance.
Customer Reviews for Monte León Sauvignon Blanc
Mr R P Treece,
"Chile is one of the best benchmarks these days for top class reasonably priced Sauvignon Monte Leon is no exception with its gooseberry lemongrass laden aromas and a long lingering surprisingly complex finish Pale almost clear in colour this wine gives a big taste sensation and stays smooth and light through the bottle I dont know exactly where Laithwaites buyers keep sourcing these incredible Chilean white wines but Monte leon keeps the bar set very high indeed"
