Description
Robertson well deserves its reputation as South Africa's leading wine producing region. The lime-rich soils here are ideal for growing grapes (and roses!), something the Bruwer family have known for generations - ever since Willie Bruwer bought the Bon Courage estate back in 1927.
This beautiful homestead is now run by Jacques Bruwer with the help of his father Andre, who at the age of 65 still jumps onto the tractor to get out into the vines on an almost daily basis. It's this dedication that helps them produce some of the best white wines in South Africa. Indeed, the estate seems to rack up medals by the day … their trophy cabinet is full to bursting!
