Royal Tokaji Blue Label, 5 Puttonyos (50 cl) 2003

If you only drink one wine this week, make it Royal Tokaji Co Blue Label 2003. This fabled sweet wine has now been restored to its former (pre-communism) glory. As one prominent wine writer stated it wows even those who claim not to like sweet wines!

Indeed this luxuriously sweet, world classic is fabled to have been an 'elixir of youth' for the Russian Imperial Court. We can't guarantee that (just to replace it if you don't like it) but we can assure you of its quality.

Very concentrated, with flavours of honey, apricots, spice and lime juice, but with much higher acidity than Sauternes or Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, so it's more refreshing. Serve well chilled. Perfect as an aperitif or with foie gras, rich liver pate or desserts
