Masseria dei Carmelitani 2006Elegant, single-vineyard Gavi - Italy's answer to Chablis - with a multi medal-winning history
Exquisite, wonderfully fresh Gavi is Italy's answer to Chablis. You couldn't wish for a better example than this concentrated single vineyard special from the superior - but tiny volume - Gavi di Gavi.
In the 14th century, this delightful, hillside estate belonged to the Carmelite monks, who cultivated vineyards around the monastery and whose wines were highly respected.
Invigorating floral aromas and crisp, citrussy flavours combine with complex mineral notes. A perfect accompaniment to alfresco entertaining.
