When it comes to seeking out terrific wines at keen prices, our Antipodean buyer Dan Parrott is ahead of the game. Hence he secured exclusivity on this outstanding Kora Sauvignon from the Rose family's pioneering estate, the first in Wairau River.

"Pea-pod and gooseberry fresh white from one of the new generation of ambitious Kiwi winemakers"
Phil and Chris Rose (makers of Tikohi Sauvignon) were pioneers in Marlborough's Wairau River region. Their sons Sam and Hamish are also in the 'wine game' and Kora, meaning distant place, is their own delicious creation from the family estate. It's crisp and aromatic with gooseberry and passionfruit complexity. The Rose clan are largely self sufficient, hunting, fishing, raising livestock, making their own olive oil and growing vegetables. When the three generations (all 23 of them) sit down to eat, they often enjoy a glass of Kora with seafood they've caught or dived for themselves in the Marlborough Sound. You can share the good life too. Just pop down to your local fish counter, gather the family and open a well chilled bottle of Kora.
