A fitting partner to iconic Penfolds Grange, the 2012 vintage of Yattarna has the “carefully constructed complexity that sets the world’s greatest Chardonnay wine apart from the merely good” (Nick Stock, jamessuckling.com). Burgundy beating stuff.

Founded in 1844, Penfolds enjoy iconic status, but they're not resting on their laurels and won ‘Australian Wine Producer of the Year’ at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2014. Made as the white partner to Grange, Australia’s most celebrated wine, Yattarna has besotted critics – the 2008 was named ‘Best Chardonnay in Australia’ in James Halliday’s inaugural ‘Chardonnay Challenge’. But for many the 2012 is the greatest yet. Gifted winemaker Peter Gago sourced the very finest grapes from Tasmania, Henty and Adelaide Hills, before ageing the wine for eight months in French oak. One of the finest Chardonnays you’ll find anywhere, this will become even more magical and complex with age. Superb with lobster or grilled whole fish.
