Pre-sells is also known as 'en primeur'. It means reserving top vintages before they are bottled. By paying an instalment 'up front', you reserve wine while it is still in the barrel, months before official release.
Demand for fine wines is always high as there simply isn't enough to go around. Pre-release guarantees you an allocation of the finest wines - providing you are quick!
Now you need only pay the 'cellar door' price. Prior to delivery, we will invoice you for the second instalment (duty - around £21.84 a case at today's prices) plus VAT on the total. Prices are for 12 bottles unless otherwise specified.
Once we receive your order we will send you a Reservation Certificate to your customer address. If the wines you have chosen are sold out we'll contact you to advise which are still available.

Although the grand 19th century Le Chai au Quai lies in Castillon, Bordeaux, winemakers Jean-Marc Sauboua and Mark Hoddy search every remote corner of France for fruit with really superb intensity. They aren't hidebound by lofty appellations. So their top Chardonnay is unlikely to come from Burgundy - this big number uses grapes gathered from the high hills close to Carcassonne in the Languedoc. It's an ultra rich style of white, the grapes picked when gorgeously ripe and the juice fermented and aged in barrel. As with all the finest Burgundies, it went through a malolactic fermentation too, which makes the wine even creamier. JMS calls it a 'winter warmer of a white' - from a great, low yielding vintage. Superb with white meats and salmon.
