You may have heard us mention Ludovic Roussillon, a young Bordeaux estate-owner we have worked with before, last time creating the delicious Roc de Pellebouc. The soils on his property in the Entre Deux Mers are pure limestone and very rocky, so the vines are kept well drained and grapes are wonderfully concentrated. Ludovic is great to work with, warmly welcoming us into the cellar and very open to new ideas. Our own Bordeaux specialist Jean-Marc Sauboua helped him get the most from his grapes in 2009 - "The greatest vintage Bordeaux has ever produced" (Steven Spurrier).Made mostly from Merlot with just a touch of both Cabernets, Château Le Coin makes a perfect partner for your Sunday roast and is delicious, too, with venison sausages.
