Francis Ford Coppola is a rather talented chap. Not content with making cinema history with movies like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, he’s now making headlines with his multi award winning winery in California. Winemaking is in Francis’ blood. In prohibition New York, his father had grapes shipped over from California so he could make wine in their basement. However, although this sounds like something from one of the Godfather films, it was only to provide their family and friends with wine to be enjoyed with meals. And this is precisely what A Tavola was designed for. Crafted by talented winemaker Corey Beck, it has the typically supple, dark fruit of the 2014 Cabernets and will be guest of honour at any Italian dinner table.
