Cabalié hails from Maury, famous for its port-like wines, and a town with wine heritage dating back to the 2nd century BC! The area boasts some of France's oldest vineyards, and some impressively deep, smooth wines. Robert Parker calls it "One of the last undiscovered bastions of delicious, value-priced wines."
Cabalié's remarkable concentration is due to a unique combination of the delicious old-vine Grenache enriched with a splash of the powerful, port-like Maury - in the same way the Romans enhanced their wines over 2000 years ago! The result is a densely concentrated red, packed with flavour and warming 14.5% alcohol.
