Made purely with old-vine Tempranillo fruit - the backbone of the finest Rioja - sourced from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa (the best of the region's three enclaves) this satin-smooth, moreish red offers superb value for money. By law, estates are only allowed to sell a set quantity of wine with 'Rioja' on the label ... and we've managed to save the best of the surplus for you.
Bright ruby, with deep flavours of juicy redcurrant, hints of plum and black cherry, with a silky smooth finish. Unoaked to let the fruit shine through, it's great with lamb or tapas and is a delight on its own too.
