Description
Australia has adopted Germany's noble Riesling grape with great success, and put it back on the world wine map; "Australian Riesling is a real hit down under" writes The Sunday Express. This is a brisk, citrus Riesling from the prestigious De Bortoli cellar, one of the finest producers of this variety in Riverina. The winery was established in 1928 by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli, and rapidly expanded under the guidance of their son, the late Deen de Bortoli. Today, the estate has several estates under its belt, including vineyards in the premium Hunter and Yarra Valleys as well as one in the Riverina, the original family property.

Consistently impressing wine experts and judges at competitions, it's no wonder their name is synonymous with world-class quality. Skill, passion and winemaking heritage are the cornerstones of the five-time winner of 'Winery of the Year' producing "wines (that) are always exciting" writes Decanter. The cellar also plays a leading role in sustainability, addressing water recycling, waste control, greenhouse gas emissions and other key environmental issues.

This delicious white owes its ripe fruit flavours, in part, to Australia's sun-packed 2007 vintage - the intense, arid heat produced extremely small yields of super-concentrated grapes. The wine takes its name from the founder of Griffith in Riverina, William Bull (ie Bill Bull).
