Description
This velvety-soft, indulgent red is made from 100% Tempranillo (the noble grape of Rioja). Oak-aged for extra richness and intensity of flavour at the award-winning Bodegas Navarro-Lopez in ancient Castile.
Small clusters of Tempranillo grapes are hand-picked from vines lying just outside the up-and-coming DO of Valdepeñas - described by The Independent as "outstanding reds - serious bargains".
Deep red, with spiced raspberry aromas, Imperio is soft, ripe, and very moreish, packed with succulent berry-fruit, and well-balanced oak. It's delicious with casseroles and rich, spicy dishes.
