Just under an hour South of Madrid and just West of Toledo this region is fast becoming the area of the moment for many of the top Spanish producers. This small family cellar was established thirty years ago.

In the heat of Spain, the vines are harvested at night to preserve the fresh, concentrated fruit flavours. Finca de Zalamena is an unusual blend for the region using the classic Rhône and Aussie combo of Cabernet and Shiraz.

Sparkling ruby in colour with aromas of spice blackberry and violet. Soft bramble and red berry fruit flavours are complemented by hints of spice and pepper. Finca de Zalamena is soft enough to make a pleasurable glass on its own, but in its element alongside dishes such as roast pheasant or pork, lamb or a nicely spicy casserole.
