Description
Warburn Estate is a remarkable winery, one which, from small beginnings, has risen to become one of the most awarded cellars in the inland wine growing regions.

It was founded, as were many wineries in the area, by Italian settlers for whom growing vines amd making wine was as natural a part of life as walking and breathing. Warburn Estate soon stood out from the rest however, and went on to become a thriving business. Much of its recent success is down to the talents of one man, Sam Trimboli, whose Midas touch has earned him over 1,100 awards in the last seven years - including 10 Golds and a Trophy in the last year alone!

This fresh, zingy, citrussy white is made from Verdelho, the new buzz grape Down Under. Though it has been grown in Australia for over 200 years, until recently Verdelho was used exclusively for making fortified dessert wines or 'stickies'. However, innovative winemakers discovered that it makes wonderful, tropically fruity dry whites that stay fresh and minerally even in the warmest vintages. Matthew Jukes writes "Top-drawer Verdelho has an amazingly zesty, tropical flavour. The best dry versions hail from Oz."

This Warburn Estate Premium Reserve Verdelho was made from the fruit of specially designated vines, hand-picked in the early morning for freshness and fermented at a cool temperature to lock in the vibrant fruit flavours.
