Description
Innovation is the Aussies' secret weapon and it has kept them ahead of the game for the last 25 years. So far ahead in fact, that much to the astonishment of the French establishment, sales of Australian wines overtook French for the first time in 2007.

This delicious wine is a wonderful example of Aussie innovation. Sensing that some people were maybe tiring a little of Chardonnay, Trophy-winning winemaker Sam Trimboli found a way to enhance its appeal further. He combined it with Verdelho. Originally from Madeira, this exotic grape is thoroughly suited to the Australian climate where it produces rich, vibrantly-flavoured table wines. Chardonnay and Verdelho turned out to be perfect bottle-fellows.

Barooga Station is like a breath of fresh air for Chardonnay lovers because it introduces racy, tropical fruit flavours alongside Chardonnay's broader, creamier palate. Sam reckons a single glass of this wine has the power to convert even hardened Chardonnay sceptics (is there such a thing?) into true believers!

Hats off to Sam Trimboli. For years he's kept our bottle racks topped up with medal-winning wines that never let us down. His trademarks - instantly appealing ripe fruit and easy drinking style - are stamped all over this beauty!
