Description
It's no exaggeration to say that this is a groundbreaking wine! Made in our 'garage' winery in the tiny village of Sainte Colombe in Bordeaux, VVS is an exclusive blend of Verdejo, Viognier and Sauvignon grape varieties - hence the name, VVS.
Our Bordeaux born-and-bred (and trained!) winemaker, Jean-Marc Sauboua, wanted to craft a white that retained all the aromatic, fresh flavours of super-popular Sauvignon Blanc but with an extra richness that Sauvignon doesn't provide.
His search for a grape that would do this without overpowering the wine led him to Spain, where he chose Verdejo - the country's finest white variety - for its intense citrus and peach aromas.
Back in France he skilfully married it to Bordeaux Sauvignon - adding a touch of honeysuckle-and-apricot flavoured southern French Viognier - to give a complex, mouthfilling white with a zingy, ultra-refreshing finish ... you'll love it!
"Bursting with ripe stone fruit and complex gooseberry and fresh grass aromas. Crisp and zesty on the finish. Delicious drunk chilled on its own or partnered with asparagus and chicken dishes."
