Domaine Chapitre 2003

Classic Rhône grapes - Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault and Syrah (from vines with an average of 30 years old) - crafted into a classic blend, from the super-ripe 2003 vintage, with gold and silver medal heritage too.

Owned by the Dorthe family (who have traced their history back to the 17th century), Domaine de Chapitre is in the southern Ardèche and on the right bank of the Rhône - a cooler zone with a longer ripening season. With more time on the vine the fruit develops subtle, complex flavours.

Rich, well-balanced and darkly fruity, the Syrah adds the deep cassis flavours and intense colours whilst the Grenache adds the big brambly, velvety textures.
