To make the 'Poppy' wine, hot-shot winemaker Scipione Giuliani scours top vineyards thoughout Italy to find the highest quality, most full flavoured grapes. In terrific 2006, he discovered a parcel of 50-year-old vines in Italy's sun-soaked Puglia. Fruit concentration was exceptional, and he knew he had to use the grapes to make a special edition, world-class quality Primitivo - "the buzz grape of the year" according to The Daily Mail.
Nicknamed the 'Black Poppy', this sumptuous red offers a moreish mix of Papavero's signature drinkability, with the fruit-packed richness of Italy's sun-drenched south - and it's already charmed wine lovers just as much as the original.
