Rapsani Tsantali 2000
Three Golds, glowing praise from MW Jancis Robinson and oodles of mellow maturity
Patiently crafted like a top estate claret, Rapsani 2000 is an essential buy if you love gloriously mature, oak-aged reds. It's made from traditional, local grape varieties that have thrived for centuries on the south-facing slopes of Mount Olympus - legendary home of the Greek Gods.
Like expensive claret,Rapsani was aged in premium oak barrels for 12 months, then matured in bottle for four years to give you a wine that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the world's finest.
Dense and mature with wild herb aromas and rich blackfruit flavours. Like mature cru classé claret, Rapsani has great structure and oaky, savoury notes making it a fine partner for game and Greek dishes like moussaka or lamb stifado.
