This opulent red comes from multi award winning Hervé Sabardeil. It's an exclusive from his acclaimed Domaine de l'Agly, in the Côtes du Roussillon Villages (the finest part). 'Top drops' around here, like Hervé's, can be costly, especially if they've been rated by influential critic Robert Parker. However, thanks to old allegiances we secured this beauty at a very friendly price.Hervé bought his wonderful property in 2003 after recognising its great potential for making dark, complex southern reds. This release is testament to his keen eye for great terroir as much as to his winemaking genius. With its lovely bold red and black fruits and spice, it's crying out for a slow cooked daube de boeuf (a Midi beef casserole) or cassoulet.
