You may have heard us mention Ludovic Roussillon, a young winemaker we've worked with before, and the man behind the classic Roc de Pellebouc. The soils on his Entre Deux Mers estate are pure limestone and very rocky, so the vines are well drained and the grapes are wonderfully concentrated. Ludovic is great to work with, welcoming us into the cellar and very open to new ideas. Our own Bordeaux specialist Jean-Marc Sauboua selected vats from the superb 2010 vintage, one judged to be even finer than the record breaking 2009. The wine was 'finished' at our own nearby cellar, Le Chai au Quai.Made mostly from Merlot with a touch of both Cabernets, a magnum of Le Coin makes a perfect partner for roast shoulder of lamb or haunch of venison.
