We've championed this Sussex estate from the start - a fact not forgotten by owner Mike Roberts and his family. And now Britain's "King of Fizz" (the Independent) has given us exclusive access to this very special vintage cuvée. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier may have black skins but their juice is clear (hence Blanc de Noirs). The ripeness is due to the Indian Summer of 2009, while the wine's lovely biscuity character comes from extended bottle ageing on lees (the aromatic residue of the fermentation process). Golden richness and complex flavours are delivered on a stream of fine, tiny bubbles.Fantastic stuff from past winners of the IWSC's World Wide Trophy for Best Sparkling Wine and perfect for Olympic and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
