Prized for its minty blackcurrant fruit, firm tannins and deep colour, Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in Chile's Central Valley, where cool breezes, abundant sunshine and Andes' snowmelt nourish the vines. The result is excellent ripeness of fruit combined with freshness and beautifully balanced acidity. This wine was created by Adolfo Hurtado, who has been declared Chile's 'Winemaker of the Year' four times - most recently in 2008. His wines have won numerous awards, too, including an impressive haul of six Golds at the Challenge International du Vin in 2003. Combining the exuberance of the New World with the elegance of the Old, this pure Cabernet will make a fine partner to roast red meats, a well laden pizza or rich pasta dishes.
