Chardonnay's long been one of the world's favourite white wines. Viognier, on the other hand, is a fairly recent addition to the popularity stakes. 25 years ago it was rarely seen outside Condrieu, a tiny enclave in the northern Rhône. Today it's grown successfully around the world. In South Australia, winemaker John Loxton created this bespoke blend especially for our customers. Dancing Leaves shows the classic buttery, peach character of ripe Aussie Chardonnay (no oak required) along with the more exotic, floral (honeysuckle especially) and apricot notes of Viognier. Though dry, it's a wonderfully fruity white to enjoy lightly chilled with an alfresco lunch of seafood salad or cold chicken, or of an evening with fragrant Thai cuisine.
