Any effort you put into understanding fine German Riesling is amply rewarded, especially when guided by a well informed enthusiast like our buyer Cat. She has selected this Riesling from the renowned Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt, owned by Annegret Reh-Gartner. It comes from one of the Ruwer's top sites, Kaseler, and the sublime 2009 vintage. It's a beautiful expression of the grape, the barren blue slate soils of the precariously steep vineyards that must be tended by hand, and the estate's dedication to quality.Bright, brisk, aromatic and hauntingly subtle with distinct minerality - it's hard not to be captivated by this wine. It was awarded 90 Points by The Fine Wine Review. Enjoy solo or with a seafood salad or fish in a creamy sauce.
